House Rules
Treat each other with respect
Well, it’s actually very easy: be nice. Treat others as you would like to be treated yourself.
As Metal Business Club, we think it’s important to respect each other and each other’s diversity, despite any differences. Those differences are not a bad thing; they often produce interesting conversations and new insights. We come to network and don’t have to agree on everything. Our common passion for loud music is what binds us all together.
Acting professionally
Business networking at the Metal Business Club is also just plain fun. For example, we like to have a beer at set times. For our events, we use venues and events of our members and partners. This is possible if we behave professionally, then we might come back again.
We expect the same from you, because you too are MetalBC. Therefore, always follow the house rules of the respective venue.
Be helpful
MetalBC is a safe space, both during events and on our online platform. You can ask anything: there are no stupid questions. If you know something that another entrepreneur doesn’t, help him. One of our goals is to learn from each other, because that’s what networking is all about. We talk to each other, not about each other.
At events, approach people first on your own. Let’s make sure no one is left without a conversation partner.
Be an ambassador (m/f/x)
We love it when you share things about the Metal Business Club, online or in your network outside MetalBC. To us, there is no greater compliment than for our members to act as ambassadors of the networking club. In our opinion, everyone is perfectly capable of determining for themselves what is useful to share.
Never share unsolicited confidential information from MetalBC, our networking meetings or other members.
What we do not tolerate
Of course we want to have and keep a friendly club. That depends on everyone’s behavior. There is no place within the Metal Business Club for racist, sexist, homophobic, bullying or other undesirable behavior. Not during physical networking meetings and events, nor online on our member platform.
Responsible Drinking
Alcohol will be served during some Metal Business Club events. We assume you will use this wisely. A drink is fine, the goal is and remains networking in a positive environment for all attendees. In case of irresponsible drinking, you run the risk of being removed.
